Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EatChowdy (“Chowdy”, the “app”, the “Service”), a meal planning application operated by Froth Labs LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Chowdy helps you plan meals, build grocery lists, save and customize recipes, and optionally assemble grocery carts with connected retailers. Features, including AI-assisted planning (“Chef”), may change, be added, or be removed over time.

The Service is delivered as an application for iPhone. This website is informational only — there is no account to create here and no product to sign in to.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Chowdy.
• You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

• Chowdy may offer paid subscriptions. Pricing and features are shown in the app at the time of purchase.
• Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store and are billed to your Apple Account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting your Chowdy account.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

4. AI features (Chef)

Chef uses third-party AI models to generate meal plans, suggestions, and grocery lists. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing suggestions before relying on them, including checking ingredients for allergens and confirming quantities and prices before purchasing.

Chef suggests; you decide. Nothing in the app requires you to accept a suggestion, and every action Chef can take has a manual equivalent. Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what is sent to the AI provider when you use it.

5. Health and nutrition disclaimer

Chowdy is a meal planning tool and does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Calorie and macronutrient estimates (including TDEE calculations) are approximations for general informational purposes only and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Consult a physician or registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, food allergy, or other dietary restriction. You use meal plans and nutrition information at your own risk.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt our systems, or circumvent security or rate limits;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its content except as permitted by law;
• Misuse AI features to generate unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.

7. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties, including Apple and Google (for sign-in), Apple (for subscriptions and payment), and grocery retailers such as Kroger (for building and submitting carts). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party products, pricing, availability, or fulfillment.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the global recipe library, is owned by Froth Labs LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial use.

Content you create — forked and imported recipes, notes, ratings, and photos you add — remains yours. You grant us a license to store and process it for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that suggestions will meet your requirements.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Froth Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal exposure. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Froth Labs LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
